We'd like to send a huge congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind teams from our middle and elementary buildings for earning the right to move onto the state competition. Six teams will be heading to the next level. Even making it to this stage is a huge feat, and we are so proud of all of our students who participated.
The middle school will be sending two teams, one of whom placed 1st in Division and Problem, and another that placed 2nd.
Four teams from Homer Brink competed over the weekend, with one group of 4th and 5th graders, coached by Mrs. Deyo, placing 1st in Division and Problem. A second team of 5th graders also placed 1st in Division and Problem, along with team Riegle. While our fourth team did not qualify, the students worked incredibly hard and finished 5th out of 10 teams. We are so proud of their accomplishments.
From Maine Memorial, Mrs. Barrows' team placed 1st in their Problem and Division, earning a spot at States.
Mrs. Rutkowski's team developed a creative solution to the challenge titled The OM-Mazing Race. Their impressive efforts landed them 3rd place.
