Homer Brink first graders recently had an author visit that also let them show off their own knowledge of ocean animals. The classes welcomed Patricia Gleichauf who is the author of four children’s books about ocean life.
Mrs. Gleichauf read her book, Starfish Gazing. She explained her writing process and how she works with her book illustrator. Along the way, the students asked questions, and also had the opportunity to show what they know by sharing ocean facts of their own.
