On Tuesday morning M-E middle school welcomed M-E graduate, author and local historian Lucas Kaczynski, as he spoke to Mr. Frieser's and Ms. Rich's SS classes. He discussed his book "E-J's Town-The Endicott Johnson Story" and local history. Lucas is in the process of writing another book on local history, celebrating the history of IBM, so be on the lookout for that in the future.
Let's learn more about Lucas:
-Lucas graduated from M-E in 2018.
-He now attends SUNY Cortland and will be graduating in 2022.
-He will begin student teaching in May and hope to one day become a social studies teacher at Maine-Endwell.
-Lucas is a member of both the Broome County & Nanticoke Valley Historical Societies.
-He is an artist and illustrator and he painted all of the images in his book.
-Lucas' best memory he's taken with him from Maine-Endwell: The school community feels like family and the teachers are so caring.
