Maine-Endwell High School BOE Recognitions
February 6th, 2025
Jennifer Gordner
We are honored to recognize Jennifer Gordner tonight for her unwavering commitment to Maine-Endwell High School and the students we serve.
For years, Jen worked closely with a student who faced significant health challenges during his time at Maine-Endwell. She went above and beyond to ensure this young man received the care and support he needed in countless ways. Jen not only formed a deep bond with the student but also communicated daily with his father to ensure he had the best possible high school experience.
One story in particular highlights just how extraordinary Jen’s dedication is. In June, it was determined at the last minute that this student would be graduating from high school. While this was a moment of joy, it also posed a challenge for Jen, as her family had already planned a vacation in New Jersey during the graduation ceremony. Despite this, Jen knew she couldn’t miss such a significant milestone in the student’s life.
In an incredible act of dedication, Jen left her family vacation, drove back to Endwell to attend the ceremony, and then drove through the night to rejoin her family in New Jersey. She made this sacrifice to stand on the field with the student as he received his diploma, a moment that meant the world to both the student and his family.
Jen’s actions exemplify her selflessness and commitment to going above and beyond for her students. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of our team.
