Students in Lindsey Hendricks' class have been putting their math skills to the test over the past couple of weeks. The Homer Brink 4th graders competed against 1,931 classes across the U.S. in the annual Greg Tang's Math Thanksgiving Fluency Tournament. On the final day of the competition, Mrs. Hendricks' class ranked number one in the country.
Scores are reset daily, with Maine-Endwell ranking 9th in the overall tournament. We are so proud of their efforts, especially their strong finish in proving themselves as the top math class in the country!
Students competed in the tournament from Nov. 21st to Dec. 3rd. We are so proud of their efforts, and their excitement was infectious! In the K-5 event, there were 895 classes competing and a total of 18,906 students. We look forward to the New Year's Tournament! For more information, visit:
