It was a history making moment in the high school library Monday as Kessiah White signed on to work with Laborers Local 795.
Similar to college sports signings, the district plans to begin recognizing our students who chose to enter the workforce following graduation.
White's signing comes at an important time for the nation.
The U.S. has a critical need for skilled tradespeople to keep pace with infrastructure, home repair, labor demands and more in our communities, but skilled the skilled trades workforce is not keeping up with demand.
White first met representatives from Local 795 at a recent job fair.
