Dozens of area high school students had the chance to pitch their business ideas to local entrepreneurs Thursday at SUNY Broome.
It was all part of the Junior Achievement Entrepreneurial Youth Summit, which welcomed students from across the region to campus.
The students were split into groups, and each team created a business plan to present to a panel of judges.
Maine-Endwell was represented in part by junior Zoey Sanderhoff.
Her group created a meal prep business they believe is more efficient and cheaper than its competitors.
“It’s a great opportunity to kind of work with everyone else. It’s not just using your own ideas. It’s getting other people’s advice and kind of working with that. That’s a big part of being an entrepreneur. I want to go to school for business and being an entrepreneur, so this is really great advice for me and stuff that I’m definitely going to take notes on,” said Sanderhoff.
