On Sunday, March 12, a number of MEMS students, Grades 6 - 8, participated in the Interactional Academic Competitions (IAC) Northeast Regional Tournament at Bishop Ludden HS in Syracuse, N,Y in the following competitions: History Bee, Geography Bee, and Science Bee.  Each of the three competitions is done by grade-level and students that place in the top 3 qualify for the National Tournament in Arlington, VA this summer.

Here are the results:

History Bee

 8^th Grade:   1^st place = Nikolas Sheridan ; 2^nd place = Kevin Decker ; 3^rd place = Brynn Bartlett

7^th Grade:   3^rd place = Emerson Smith; 4^th place = Zachary Ammerman; 5^th place = Kellan                                                                  Greenberg; 7^th place = Gwendowlyn Cinquenti

 6^th Grade: 1^st place = Colin Feheley

 

Geography Bee

 8^th Grade:  1^st place = Nikolas Sheridan; 4^th place = Kevin Decker; 5^th place = Brynn Bartlett;                                   6^th place = Amelia Soderlin

7^th Grade:  2^nd place = Zachary Ammerman; 3^rd place = Kellan Greenberg

Science Bee
